Common questions
How does engraving look on the coated blade?
We remove the ceramic coating where the design goes, leaving bright steel lettering against black. High contrast and very legible.
Does engraving affect the Gerber warranty?
Modifying a knife can affect a manufacturer's warranty. If that matters to you, check with Gerber before ordering.
Can you engrave the sheath too?
We engrave leather sheaths. This sheath is a MOLLE-compatible system rather than leather, so ask us first and we will tell you what is possible.
Is this a good military or first responder gift?
