Somewhere in your house there is an index card in your grandmother's handwriting. This turns it into something you use every day instead of something you are afraid to lose.
We laser-engrave your actual recipe sheet — grandma's hand, dad's script, your own notes — onto a high-quality hardwood board. Every swirl, every crossed-out ingredient, every dot over an i. Not a font that looks like handwriting. The real thing, in their handwriting.

Common questions
What if the recipe card is stained or on lined paper?
That is most of what we receive, and it is usually fine. Upload the best scan or photo you can get and we will contact you if the lines need editing out. Stains and age generally add to it rather than detract.
Can I actually cut on it?
Yes. It is a real hardwood board with a food-safe oil finish. Use the plain side for prep and keep the engraved side as the display face, and it will serve both jobs for years.
Whose handwriting can I use?
Anyone's. Most people send a parent's or grandparent's card. We have engraved handwriting from people who passed decades ago, working off a photo of a card someone kept in a recipe box.
Can you add a name or a heading?
Yes — "Grandma's Biscuits," a name, a date. Tell us what you want and where, and we will lay it out before we cut.
How long does it take?
You approve the layout before we engrave, so the timeline depends partly on you. If it is a Christmas or anniversary gift, order with room to spare — December fills up fast.
This is the gift that makes people cry at the table, and we do not say that lightly. Want a photo on it instead of a recipe? See our bamboo photo cutting board, or the engraved board that does both.
