When it has to be real metal, this is the one.
Solid brass, custom cut, notched, and drilled on request from solid metal sheets. There is a weight and a depth to engraved brass that a coated substrate cannot fake, and for a retirement plaque, a donor board, or anything that gets handled, that difference reads instantly.
Two finishes
- Solid brass with black engraving — the classic look, bright metal with dark lettering
- Painted black brass with brass colored engraving — reversed, for a more modern, higher contrast plate

Common questions
Is this actually solid brass?
Yes — cut from solid brass sheet, not a brass-look coating. If you want the appearance without the upkeep, our brushed-finish plates never tarnish and cost less.
Will it tarnish?
Brass is brass — it develops a patina over time. Some people want exactly that; others polish it back with any hardware store brass polish. If you want zero maintenance, go with the coated version.
Can you drill mounting holes?
Yes. We cut, notch, and drill on request. Tell us the hole spacing and size when you order, or send a photo of what it is mounting to.
What size can you make?
Cut to your specification. Send dimensions, or tell us what it is going on and we will suggest a proportion that looks right.
Is brass good for outdoor use?
It holds up outdoors but will weather to a darker patina. For memorial benches and outdoor donor plaques that is usually considered a feature.
